Diana Naneva a.k.a. Functional Neighbor is a freelance illustrator from Varna with a certain affinity for comics and poetry. In recent years, she has been working on her own and joint projects mainly in the field of comics, with scriptwriters from the country and abroad.
She draws ideas and inspiration from personal experiences, surroundings and surroundings. In her personal work, she prefers to illustrate pure emotions and feelings. Year of BranchesA joint author's project by Diana Naneva and Toni Pashova. Year of Branches is an art collection containing 33 illustrations and 6 miniature poetry, inspired during the past year of 2017, in changes of locations, cities, states, ups, downs - incredibly many and incredibly short to comprehend. Ultimately, despite the changes and constant transience, drawing and writing remain at the end or very early part of the day as an unchanging habit and a means of revelation.
The Year of the Branches admits to its mistakes, the journey into the unknown, its self-awareness and self-judgment. It admits to the broken and the cracks from it, the bruises and scars from the blows, on itself and on others.
There were no stones. The sticks and bundles were merciless enough.
The performance will start at 19:00 with a presentation and one night stand exhibition. We will talk about the process, old and new releases, joint projects, illustration and comics, we will look at sketchbooks. Bring your mood, yourself and possible questions.
