What does it actually mean to make cards? Tell us about your process.
Making cards is not that easy. First of all, I need inspiration so that I can make the card with love. Then – an idea and materials with which to realize it. Creative thinking and imagination are also an integral part of the process. No matter what time it is – whether it’s two or three in the morning, if I have a clear idea, I get out of bed and start creating.
Is the card an illustration? Nowadays, there are many different types of cards. I think that the illustration is part of the card. It is the basis, it adds color, a personal touch, it “speaks” to us, illustrates and complements the text written in the card.
What event/occasion do you dream of creating a card for? I love making all kinds of cards, but I would definitely like to create a thank you card for a veterinarian. Yes, I love animals and I think that would be a wonderful card!
What do people most often NOT know about making a card? In my opinion, people do not know about the satisfaction that the process of making it gives me. I have been asked “Don’t you get tired of making the same thing?” – No, I don’t get tired, I answer, because each card is different and unique in itself. I have put a different feeling, time and method of making into each one. It is a pleasure for me to make cards – the emotion of creating something and making someone happy with it is indescribable.
