Melina-Elina Bondokova

Date and place of birth: January 2, 1985

Education: Animation and directing

Professional experience: I have illustrated everything... novels, comics, books, printed matter, I have been drawing something for the past 10 years. 🙂

Exhibitions: In the summer of 2017, we held a joint exhibition with Borislav Hristov. We showed 20 photographs with illustrative elements, which you can see here.

*We also told you about this exhibition - here.

Awards: There are some... 🙂 but they are for animation. For illustration awards... I don't have any. I have never participated in competitions and festivals. The last award was from "Zlatek Kuker" for the best advertising clip.

Illustrated works: The last 3 books I have illustrated are "My Beautiful Horns" by Radostina Nikolova. "The Smelly Ones" by Devora Dzhambova and "A Handful of Good Things" by Enio Colasante / Enio Colosante, in which five illustrators participate.

Favorite illustrator: Tim Burton

Favorite illustrated book? "Winnie the Pooh" by A. Milne with illustrator Ernest Shepherd.

At first glance, it is just an illustration, but it is so full of movement and dynamics. It preserves airiness and space in the illustration, and at the same time it is saturated with elements that tell a whole story.

Incredible!

And is there any point in explaining: - Why Winnie the Pooh? 🙂

Which book do you dream of illustrating? I made my dream come true. I illustrated a children's book with a captivating text. Told in such a way that a 3-page incident makes you feel emotions like from an entire novel. Wonderful, simply wonderful Ennio!
