Favorite illustrator: Ernest Thompson Seton, Friedrich Wilhelm Kuhnert, the early Roger Tory Peterson, the great illustrators of The National Geographic magazine Allan Brooks and Walter Weber, Vadim Gorbatov, Alexander Denkov, the early Ivan Kirkov as an illustrator, etc.
Favorite illustrated book? Roger Tory Peterson's book "Birds", illustrated by him, a model of a popular science publication, Parrots of the World with illustrations by William T. Cooper - a feast for the eyes and soul of the scientific illustrator, the mighty engravings of Gustave Dore illustrating the Bible, Dante Alighieri's "Divine Comedy" or Cervantes' "Don Quixote".
Which book do you dream of illustrating? To repeat the feat of John James Audubon (albeit in a more modest version), creating a series of large-format boards “Birds of Bulgaria”, but for that it may be too late, “Jungle Book” by Rudyard Kipling, “Through Forests and Waters” by Emilian Stanev, “The Island of Doctor Moreau” by Herbert Wells, the novella “Maska” by Stanislav Lem.
