The first edition of Varna Lit 2017 – Literary Days for Children and Youth will be held from May 31 to June 3. The event program includes both foreign participants and Bulgarian writers and artists.
Varna Lit 2017 is an international literary forum that will draw visitors’ attention to contemporary books for children and teenagers. The problems related to reading among young people are increasingly coming to the fore in various forums, meetings and events. Varna was chosen as the European Youth Capital 2017 and realizes how important the importance and cultural habits of its younger residents are.
To set an example and tell about their path and experience, some of the most emblematic authors, artists, illustrators, comic and graffiti artists, vloggers, all of them actively working in the field of contemporary children’s and youth literature, will come to the rescue. Illustrators Damyan Damyanov, Katina Nedeva, Nedelcho Bogdanov and Nusha Royanova will organize various workshops and meetings.
More information and the full program can be found on the website www.varnalit.com and on the event's Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/varnalit/.
