Denitsa Peneva opens her third solo exhibition, called “Illustratoria” on her 33rd birthday on May 19, 2016. It is dedicated entirely to her work in the field of scientific illustration, including medical and anatomical illustration, which is a novelty for Bulgaria. The curator of the exhibition is Hristina Grozdanova, with whom she has been working together on various projects for years. Exactly one year later, part of the exhibition is a guest at the Regional Museum of Natural History, Plovdiv. Only scientific and popular science illustrations in the field of animal science are exhibited, some of which have been published in scientific works in our country and abroad. New works are also presented that took part in the first annual exhibition of the Society of Animalists, Florists and Scientific Illustrators - DAPHNI, of which Denitsa is the vice-chairwoman and co-founder, together with Hristina and our eminent animalists Georgi Pchelarov and Asen Ignatov. The work “Predator and Prey in the Pantanal”, which was awarded by the jury in last year’s edition of the international scientific illustration competition “Illustrasiencia”, as well as works awarded in a competition, part of the Iberian Herpetological Congress, 2014, is also exhibited in a large format.
