Arte Gallery presents an exhibition of graphics by Yasen Gyuzelev.

"Throughout the month of February, we have lovingly prepared for you an exhibition of one of the most beloved Bulgarian artists, an illustrator, an author recognized for a long time around the world, loved by young and old, by collectors and admirers, an artist who is frankly in love with art, a workaholic who has reached perfection, the creator of the illustrations for the most beloved children's fairy tales. Yes, you cannot remain indifferent to Yasen Gyuzelev, you can only fall in love with his art unreservedly and forever.

In this exhibition, we will show graphics based on plots from his famous illustrations for "Alice in Wonderland", "Alice in the Looking Glass", "The Adventures of Pinocchio", "The Adventures of Oliver Twist", "The King of the Golden River" by John Ruskin /unpublished book in Bulgaria/, as well as graphics for the famous Tarot cards: by "Leonardo", "Millennium" and "900". Some are known to the public, others have never been shown, what is new is that they are now realized with the graphic technique ALGRAPHIA, which turns them into a new kind of original, they get a new life as an independent work. During the exhibition you will be able to see and purchase the books published in Bulgarian with illustrations by Yasen Gyuzelev.

The books illustrated by him are also published in Swedish, French, Portuguese, Greek, Japanese. His high recognition is complemented by a number of awards he has received: "Luchs", an award from Radio Bremen and "Die Zeit" for "The Queen Bee"; for illustrator of the year - ’94 illustrators of the wear award, Bologna (1994); the award of the Buchkunst foundation, Germany (1997); "Luchs", an award from Radio Bremen and "Die Zeit" for "Alice in Wonderland" (2000); a diploma from the "Golden Pencil of Belgrade" (2001); a book award from the Independent Publishers, USA (2002); awards from the American Institute of Graphic Arts (2002, 2003, 2004); "Luchs", an award from Radio Bremen and "Die Zeit" for "Don Quixote"; Silver medal from the Association of Illustrators, New York (2004); the award of the publishing house "Hr.G. Danov" for "Alice in Wonderland" (2010). But the greatest recognition, according to Yasen Gyuzelev, are the people who come to the exhibition halls and share their excitement and gratitude for what the artist has done."
