Exhibition of artists from the Society of Animalists, Florists and Scientific Illustrators in honor of the 555th anniversary of the birth of Albrecht Dürer

The greatness and contribution of Dürer could not be presented in a short text, just as it is not easy to pay worthy tribute to the memory of such an artist.

Albrecht Dürer is a famous Renaissance artist. Already in the 15th century, he laid the foundations for the separation of illustrations as extremely important components of the book body. Some of his most famous works are studies of nature - remarkable drawings of plants and animals. It is they who inspire contemporary artists, members of DAPHNI. In the current selection of works, the diversity of creative approaches and solutions inherent in the exhibitions of the society is observed, a reflection of the wealth that represents the collective of our growing organization.

Some of the artists chose to work in techniques close to those used by Dürer, others remained unmistakably recognizable with their own style of work, but depicted objects that sparked the Renaissance artist's research interest.

The exhibition features original works by: Ana Avramova, Ana Sokerova, Anelia Pashova, Alaya Tsanova, Alexander Vachkov, Asen Ignatov, Asya Kamenova-Georgieva, Ventsislav Krastev, Viktor Paunov, Denitsa Peneva, Dimitar Dimitrov, Georgi Pchelarov, Eric Daniel, Zornitsa Garkova, Ignata Vasileva, Natalia Stambolova, Nevena Ivanova, Nikolay Kranais, Maria Krumovska, Milena Hristova, Panayot Panov, Teodora Pesheva and Yana Kazakova.
