Being part of a group, a society, a subculture is an aspiration. Sharing interests and knowledge is the basis of our communication. Creating is a way of expressing ourselves. Therefore, it is important for an artist to be in an environment where ideas are mutual and understood.
The realization of the lack of a subculture in Burgas gave rise to the idea of Drink’n’Draw – Sunday creative meetings, during which illustrators, painters, graffiti artists, in general any artists who express themselves through drawing, come together to create and interact. They draw on a given theme, either complement each other, or simply improvise, using different techniques, while exchanging experience and ideas.
The artists in Drink’n’Draw set goals for themselves as common projects for beautifying the urban environment, … projects on different media and last but not least – gathering an ever-growing group of like-minded people. Because it is important, when creating in and for a city, to get to know each other in order to remove the boundaries in communicating with each other.
Grab your pencils, paints and sketchbooks because the meetings are open to anyone who feels part of the idea! At the beginning of the event, a short presentation by Svetoslav Stankov will be given about the idea and history of the Drink’n’Draw project.
