I am fully aware that what we do on the website “Bulgarian Illustration” does not always become visible as an echo and “reported as results”. But the moments when I understand that it actually has meaning, these are the moments that drive my desire for this website to exist for 4 years and to continue to exist. I sincerely believe that with the authors who have been involved in the website’s initiatives over the years, we share this meaning.
A few days ago, quite by chance, I came across a post on Facebook.
Allow me to present to you some of the works of the 4th grade children at the “Peio K. Yavorov” Primary School in Burgas and their teacher Alexandra Georgieva: “I have been following the exhibition since the beginning of the month. Together we looked at everything you have published so far. We talked about the meaning of our alphabet, then we moved on to calligraphy and in fact the finale was that words are important, and beautifully written ones are a work of art.”
The children have transformed some of the works into the online exhibition “24 artists, 24 calligraphies, May 24”, which you can view on our website and discover which artists inspired them. And we thank them for sharing their drawings with us and in this way they also participated in the exhibition.
