Recently, the children's audience has been suffering from the lack, or even poorly organized, children's book festivals. That is why with great hope and confidence this year we look forward to the first major edition that "Not a Day Without Books" is organizing on the occasion of its fifth birthday - a true festival of children's books, children's reading and children's publishers. And here is the invitation that Pirina Vodenicharova extends to all her fellow illustrators, publishers, readers and friends:
We will celebrate it appropriately with wonderful children's books, reading, immersion in the world of children's illustration, and warm communication. The heart of the community is precisely the interpersonal relationships that we have created and continue to nurture over all these years. I look forward to seeing each other, getting to know each other, talking and creating memories together.
I cordially invite you to this • unique festival of children's reading • in one of the coziest spaces in Sofia – the SOHO house on 4 Iskar Street. We will be there for two whole days!
Here is what awaits you at the festival:
A specially selected BAZAAR (exhibition) of children's books from as many as 17 publishing houses: Timelines, PAN, Dachshund, Clever Book, Hedgehog, Hermes, Robertino, Marmot, Raketa, Bulgarian Illustration, Purko, Knigosaur, Carrot, Fish, This is how it all started, Tui Onui, FUT, Panda. We promise that this bazaar will be different from anything you have seen so far.
An event hall, where workshops and readings for children, presentations of new books, discussions for children and parents on important topics will be held every day. You can find a detailed program for the two days in the "Discussion" section.
An exhibition of selected works by Petya Evlogieva and Mira Miroslavova will also be waiting for you in the halls - names that are an indisputable standard for the quality of children's illustration in Bulgaria.
