"30 Letters" is a project by Milen Balbuzanov (MILENIST), which aims to show that in Bulgaria too, the love for letters is a fact, by showing variants of their spelling today.
The goal is to unlock the love for letters in more people, as well as for artists to start uniting on the Bulgarian calligraphy scene.
The exhibition is in collaboration with 8 more talented artists: Konstantin Krastev, Simeon Zhelev, Zaklina Zhekova, Eli Angelova, Lora Shtirkova, Atanas Dimitrov, Peyo Peev and Ventsislav Djokov
Each of the participants will present 1 of their own alphabet and 1 quote. Limited editions of each of the works will also be offered - prints, alphabets, quotes, as well as postcards.
The artists in the exhibition will be at Bogodome at 2 p.m. on May 24 and will be available to introduce people to their works and calligraphy in general. During the day, they will paint the window, and in the evening, a live performance will be held.
There will be sheets and materials provided for visitors to experience the magic of calligraphy for themselves.
“30 Letters” is not just an exhibition, but a newly formed community for Bulgarian calligraphers, whose goal is to work together and spread the love for calligraphy and our alphabet.
