EXHIBITION "BOOK!"
of graduates - bachelors and masters, class of 2024
from the Department of "Book, Illustration, Printed Graphics" of the National Academy of Arts
The National Academy of Arts is once again visiting the Art Gallery in the city of Dobrich. This time the focus is on the Department of "Book, Illustration, Printed Graphics". On 27.02.2025 at 17:30, in the presence of the Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts of the National Academy of Arts and Head of the Master's Program "Illustration" in the specialty, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Regina Dalkalacheva and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kapka Kaneva, the exhibition "Book!" will be opened. The exhibition presents projects and book models of the graduated bachelors and masters from the class of ’24: Adriana Yankova, Anna Ivanova, Blagovesta Neycheva, Georgi Barakov, Gergana Alamanova, Elizaveta Belova, Yoanna Todorova, Lora Toromanyan, Neda Angelova, Teodor Mirchev, Yana Lankova.
Within the parameters of the task, the bachelors are challenged to create their first entirely original children’s books, which are also of non-standard spatial form. The young people are the authors not only of the illustrations and plastic book constructions, but also of the text content. The masters, who graduated in “Illustration” and “Book Art” (two of the five master’s programs in the department), visibly build on the skills acquired in the bachelor’s course with their projects for independent author’s publications and an overall publishing concept. The future book artists create series of unique, diverse and impactful works, which we hope to see in bookstores soon.
