As you know, about ten days ago, BNT announced a competition for a new logo for the media outlet. After the sharp reaction of the professional guild, the television station was invited to an open meeting with industry professionals at the Union of Bulgarian Broadcasters. We also informed you about the discussion with the management of the national television station, as well as about the meeting of the two parties on June 13, 2018.
Here is what Filip Boyadzhiev, one of the selected artists to defend the interests of the entire college, shared in the BDG / Bulgarian Design Group group on Facebook:
“Hello,
At the meeting on Wednesday, the colleagues from BNT showed serious understanding for the arguments of the working group. However, legally, the competition cannot be stopped without harming those already working on it and creating legal cases. Taking this into account, the management of BNT decided to finalize the announced competition, although in this form it may not produce an adequate result, as we warned them.
For the moment, our hands are tied, we are left to monitor the development.”
