On the last Monday of June, Petak Bar invites everyone to the opening of a casual exhibition with a musical breath of summer even before we officially enter the height of the summer season.
Chilla Goods' illustrations will come to life on the walls of the bar for the upcoming month of July, with a special opening on June 25th.
In addition to the opportunity to see for the first time the beautiful blends between drawing and sentiment towards analog music, to hear the inspiration of the author, you will also be able to immerse yourself in the magical conceptual live performance by the musicians The Innkeepers Inc!
Chilla Goods appeared 3 years ago, with the arrival of the author - Siyana Dimitrova in Sofia.
Her main muses are music, the sea and Bulgarian embroideries, perhaps, as well as the process of drawing itself - the birth of an idea, its implementation and those cases in which you feel a sweet relief that you have spat out something buried somewhere in your soul, out into the open.
Since she can remember, music has gone hand in hand with drawing – like a cassette and a pencil, they support each other. She is a representative of one of the last generations of collectors of cassettes and CDs and various other analog media in her childhood, and music is present in her illustrations precisely through them. The styles of music that have always accompanied her in life are also to blame – hip-hop, jazz, boom bap and the culture of which they are a part.
The Innkeepers Inc are a collective of DJs and beatmakers. Simeon Veselinov has a diverse catalog of beats on Soundcloud, as well as a debut EP released for the Dusted Wax Kingdom label.
You will be able to hear their related live performance during the opening of the exhibition *Musical Analogy* by Chilla Goods on June 25.
