The Bloom exhibition, in a sense, follows the same genre-ideological line from Luben Domozetski's first solo exhibition: these are again scientific illustrations and experiments with scientific illustration. But it is precisely in these experiments, which are also the center of the exhibition, that something new, different from last year's, seems to be sneaking in - this is the human presence. The author presents parts of himself, including in them specific, real-life plant species that carry different messages. In these works, the main line is the relationship between man and nature, a relationship that is inevitable, eternal, secure and healthy, but not always realized. Man is part of nature, he is nature, it comes out of him. In these works, this is demonstrated literally, but the selected elements and human parts lead to reflection in other directions as well. Man has "his own nature". He chooses how much and whether to let it flourish or to hide it, remake it, control it, refine it... Balance is not always easy to achieve. Our thoughts, feelings, desires, fears and hopes constantly push us in one direction or another, sometimes closer to God, sometimes further away from him. And in these works there is a little God, there is a little death, there is a little sex, there is a little spring. They express the idea of renewal, of transience, of mortality, of intimacy. Their technical execution is an aspiration to follow the traditions of medieval and Renaissance art – the surface used is a board intended for icons, the technique is tempera, again used in icon painting. The presentation of these works without scientific illustration is unthinkable, they complement each other, one leads to the other and vice versa. The scientific drawings are restrained, impeccably following an established scheme. However, the restraint is cracked by the presence of inexplicable marginal drawings that have nothing to do with the objects represented. There is some hidden internal conflict in this. The exhibition includes both older works and works specially conceived and painted for the current project and space.
