Another thematic discussion, organized by the National Book Center – NDK, will take place on April 14 (Saturday) at 4:00 PM at the Peroto Literary Club.

The topic of the discussion is: “Small” European literatures on the Bulgarian market. Meeting with publishers”.

The debate at Peroto will feature publishers Dorothea Monova – Paradox Publishing House, Vasilka Vancheva – Emas Publishing House and Nevena Dishlieva – ICU Publishing House. The moderator will be Alexander Krastev – founder of the website “I Read”.

The fourth discussion of the year, dedicated to the topic “Contemporary Bulgarian Literature in the Context of European Modernity”, will focus on the literatures of the representatives of the so-called “small languages” in the European Community through the eyes of Bulgarian publishers. During the conversation, we will discuss the reasons for choosing them to be their "mediators", the support programs they use, as well as the risks they take. We will also seek the answer to the question of how the Bulgarian book distributor and reader perceive these literatures, note the initiators of the debate.

The discussion is part of the program of the National Center of Literature - National Palace of Culture, included in the cultural calendar in the year of the European Presidency.
